Privacy
We log your name, email, the time and this router's location when scanned, for equipment tracking, signal monitoring and support. We don't track your phone or laptop beyond this scan.
WiFi EPT rents 5G routers to production companies. Each router has a QR code and NFC sticker. Scanning it, or opening the router’s help page, creates one record of that scan.
What we store for each scan
- Your name and email.
- Your production or company name, if you give one (optional).
- The router ID and the time of the scan.
- An approximate area (town or region) worked out from your connection’s IP address. We keep the IP address with the record.
- Your browser and phone type (the “user agent” your browser sends).
- Your exact GPS location, only if you tap Share location and allow it.
Location
Sharing your location helps us see where this router is set up, so we can monitor its signal and performance and support you. We record the location once, when you tap Share. We don't follow your phone or track you afterwards.
The page asks your phone for its position a single time, only after you tap the button. Nothing runs in the background, and nothing is recorded when you’re not scanning.
Why
- Equipment tracking: knowing where each router is and who has it.
- Signal monitoring: seeing where routers are set up, so we can understand signal and performance.
- Support: helping you when the router has a problem.
We don’t sell this information or use it for marketing.
How long we keep it
